New Music for Silent Film Classics

This exciting Vineyard Touring Opera Company event showcases vintage silent films with new scores performed by full orchestra. Composers include L. C. Harnsberger, composer of VTO’s upcoming original opera “Golondrina” in May of 2017, Amy Gordon, Daniel Levin, William Grundler and more. Films include “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” (1910), “Ramona” with Mary Pickford, the first Felix the Cat cartoon, D.W. Griffith’s “Corner in Wheat,” and the famous cyclone scene from Buster Keaton’s “Steamboat Bill Jr.” Admission to this gala event includes films, music, silent auction, raffle, refreshments, and more.
